INTEGRATED NATURAL RESOURCE MANAGEMENT

Godda is located in the north-eastern part of Jharkhand, and is an area that falls in the agro-climatic Zone VII. Two-thirds of the total geographical area of the district is cultivable. It is also fairly densely forested, covering about a tenth of the district especially two of the tribal dominated blocks of Sundarpaharai and Boarijore. Integrated Natural Resource Management is a conscious process of incorporating multiple aspects of natural resource use into a system of sustainable management to meet explicit production goals of farmers and other uses as well as goals of the wider community.For overcoming farmers from rain fed agriculture, different water resources being constructed to promote year wide agriculture in all 3 seasons i.e. Kharif, Rabi & Zaid. Need based planning being done and infrastructures being constructed in village.
