Progress under SCA to TSP in old JTDP villages
Scheme: Pig farming for ensuring livelihood security among the scheduled tribes in JTDS area

Activities under the scheme:

  • 650 Members of the SHG formed by tribal women have been selected
  • 130 Shelter for livestock has been constructed and 400 pigs have been distributed.
  • Exposure visit has been carried out for the beneficiaries regarding the scientific techniques of pig rearing in Birsa Agricultural university
  • KGVK has been engaged for providing technical support

Amount allocated: Rs. 1,47,34,000/-; Total Expenditure: Rs. 1,25,20,000/-

Scheme: Setting up of Agro processing Micro Enterprise Unit & Training with SHG in IFAD Supported Village:

“Birsa Uddyamita Kendra” – A micro enterprise centre has been established in 74 villages of JTDP area which is having place for setting up micro-enterprise with machines for Huller, grinding de-husking etc along with a platform for drying the agricultural and non timber forest produces.

Scheme: Livelihood Prototype Scheme for implementation under JTDS/JTDP (IFAD Assisted) covered area

Sub-scheme under the scheme:

1.Land & Water Management

  • Approximately 179 villages have been selected for the physical work and around 2500 household would get benefit from the activities.
  • Total 250 irrigation ponds have been constructed in 179 villages.
  • 264 irrigation pumps have been distributed among the beneficiaries in collaboration with ATMA (Ag. Deptt)
  • Constructions of around 100 irrigation ponds have been under progress and many more in planning stage.
  • Training on improved agricultural practices has been done in the project villages with help of “Indian grameen Service”.
  • After joining of new staffs formation of GSPEC is in full swing.

2.Homestead Poultry

Activities under the scheme:

  • Total 750 beneficiaries have been selected from the member of SHG formed by Tribal women
  • Construction work in 150 no of shelter has been completed 1470 poultry birds have been distributed
  • BAIF has been engaged for providing the necessary technical support in homestead poultry

Amount Allocated: Rs.67, 04,000/-; Total Expenditure: Rs. 49, 48,840/-

3.Goat Rearing

Activities under the scheme:

  • Total 520 beneficiaries have been selected from the member of SHG formed by Tribal women
  • Construction work of 104 no of goat shelter has been completed 54 goats have been distributed
  • BAIF has been providing the necessary technical support in Goat rearing

Amount Allocated: Rs.87,28,000/-; Total Expenditure: Rs. 59,92,630/-
